Mookaite is known for its vibrant colors of red, yellow and brown. It was named after the Mooka River in the Kennedy Ranges, Western Australia. Historically Mookaite was a favorite stone among royalty during the Medieval times. It can be traced back as far as the 12th century to Hildegard of Bingen a German mystic & healer, who believed that drinking wine with a Mookaite crystal in it or from a Mookaite chalice would ease insomnia and nervous tension. 

Mookaite helps to unlock your subconscious mind, promoting insight and encouraging inner growth and personal development. Thought to be an all over energizer that cleanses and activates the root chakra, sacral chakra and solar plexus chakra.
