Tiger Eye is a variety of quartz that is well known for its silky luster and beautiful striations. It has inclusions of iron and quartz which give the stone is striped appearance and chatoyancy. The effect is called the eye or cats eye. Tiger eye can be found is three different colors brown/gold, reddish brown, and blue. It is primarily mined in Africa but can also be found in Brazil and Australia. 

Tiger Eye is a very protective stone and has the the power to focus the mind, promoting good mental health and clarity. It helps assist us to solve our problems objectively by recognizing one's own needs in relation to the needs of others. Tiger Eye is thought to stabilize mood swings, increase self confidence and give us courage.

Many times the actual stone is much better than my photo, as the camera does not always cooperate with me!
